Prostitution or sponsorship

Prostitution has been prevalent since the outset of civilization, hence no wonder why it is dubbed the oldest profession.  Sponsorship, on the other hand, according to Collins Dictionary is an act of providing funds in exchange for an activity of commercial or charitable character. Although the 2006 eighth edition of the dictionary does not include any sexual facet of sponsorship, the word’s usage had displayed one years before its production. Only recently has it come to the fore in the media. Sponsorship has become an euphemism for prostitution denoting additional features such as independence from pimps and self-reliance. Modern world justifies sexual sponsorship by a means of how media depicts sexuality. Most of all, the responsibility for moral deterioration hinges on men and their voracious sexual appetite. Therefore, unless people ensnare their sexual desiderata, the festered morality problem will not abate.
Firstly, sponsorship is an independent way of living. Money obtained through sponsorship helps the subjects reach financial autonomy and self-reliance as long as they cope with intrinsic moral issues. Superficially, sponsorship, or prostitution if you will, is a combination of business and pleasure. Nevertheless, our day does not revolve solely around money and sex. There are emotional or psychical pleasures and intellectual or physical labor. The problem, hence, is with culture which prompts our choices.

a fine line between good and evil
Had it not been for the media, we would not have this image of hectic life and carpe diem assumptions encouraging sexual openness and spreading pornography. On the other hand, but for the media, we would wallow in backwardness. The problem is that animal instinct lurks in each of us and suppressing it through, say, religious obedience is certainly not a good idea. However, promoting it because it galvanizes interest, sells advertisement space, and consequently provides profits is also not the desired solution. Only through constant reading and researching people develop culturally and morally. Hence, literature and poetry are like a spiritual revelation only it does not involve no guru’s debauchery. Reading enables us a variety of choices. It also evinces that a hectic life can simply slower its pace and the rush for animal pleasures devalues.

Another important factor is that of who is actually responsible for incandescing the bonfire. Prima facie, women are to blame for this situation but they are not alone at the scene of the crime. Although Eve had tempted Adam, it was him who sinned and led to the expulsion from paradise. It is just an allegory representing these men – the punters – who are responsible for the phenomenon of sexual sponsorship. They pay. This is what makes the mechanism work. It does not mean that if men fled after a sexual intercourse without paying life would be better. It means that if men were emotionally mature, they would not perpetuate sponsorship. Without that cog the machine would fall apart.
Hence, at the end of the day it seems that the power to shape culture with all its mechanisms is in our hands. The media are to interfere and distract people but ultimately a fully-fledged intellectual mind can find its own way out. Sponsorship will last as long as our animal desires prevail over emotions and psychic. To change the morally deteriorated situation everyone needs a thorough revolution of the self and spiritual epiphany. Men should reflect on their contribution to women’s prostitution as a matter of fact. Moreover, both men and women should stop failing to recognize literature and poetry as invalid sources of information giving in simultaneously to online chitchat-dating-rubbish and pornography.
